In The Cold Cold Night by VOODOO FARM

The latest VOODOO FARM offering involves some of the heaviest names in the MC industry from way back. From Notorious B.I.G. to 2Pac and Big L cramped up into one, accompanied by a few lines from one half of The White Stripes, Meg. Not so much a fan of her role in the song but the entire track is awesome nonetheless.

Ivory (The Bloody Beetroots Remix) by Congorock

By far the only electronic artist/band I really try to follow next to Steve Aoki. The Bloody Beetroots was one of the artists that got me hook on the scene along with the first mentioned. The former duo now a trio putting their own spin to Congorock's latest tribal war cry, "Ivory."

Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo returning the favor for the "Church Of Noise" remix by producing, arranging, composing and mixing the new Congorock effort. As always, we have the dark signature piano breaks and screaming vocals to plague the remix, in signature Beetroots fashion.

Mixtape: Mix For 6 Music by Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs

Here is an hour long treat from Orlando Higginbottom. No, he is not wizard and no, he is not a part of any of the Harry Potter series. He is more known as one of the most successful deep-house producers in the business. Everyone knows him as the man behind Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, known for music that exceeds the definition of deep house.

Being part of the more unorthodox producers in the business, it is a given that his talents also exceed the boundaries of just production. With shows well crafted and precise that easily pulls his name up that ladder more and more. Here is a collection of what he is all about with a mixtape for his 6 mix show on BBC 6music for the month of November.

Video: Silence (Bag Raiders Remix) by The Ting Tings

Out comes the new visuals for the The Ting Tings' second single to their upcoming new album dropping in 2012. "Silence" gets a peaceful remix treatment from Bag Raiders, opening the song with snaps and melancholic synths which give way to elastic bongos that nudge toward the the dance floor (via The Fader). Just a nudge though, Bag Raiders sounding a bit under the weather lately. What ever happened to "Shooting Stars" and "Sunlight?" Those were great summer anthems! Have they run out of beats to spin? You be the judge. Visuals after the skip.

Video: Youtopia (feat. Adam Young) by Armin van Buuren

The next single to Armin van Burren's most recent located above, Mirage. The feel-good song featuring Owl City's Adam Young in "Youtopia."

The #1 DJ for the past 2-3 years, this will be his fourth effort and release. "Youtopia" has to be one of the favorites. Been I while since I last heard a trance song which caught my attention and I'm happy to tell you that this did (for obvious reasons). The song just gets stuck in your head, typically what proper trance music should do. Despite the difference in genre, Armin made it work. "A sparkling, vivid track with a very positive vibe."

I did also read from his site that it includes a deep, proggy remix by Blake Jarrell, clubby prog-house translation by Michael Woods, maddening tech-house fix of Tocadisco and synth-soothing trancy remix of Re:Locate. It's the whole package! What could you possibly want more? Good morning and enjoy!

Levels (Hardwell Bootleg) by Avicii

Like I said, an instrument for world domination this "Levels" track is. Hardwell trying to harness its power injecting more on its peak time with a bootleg. First premiered on Hardwell's radio show, Hardwell On Air, a few weeks ago.

Using the main theme and vocals while adding an electrofied bassline and some absolute massive drops and buildups as what can be expected of Hardwell (via Hardwell's Soundcloud). Going harder, better, faster, and... Harder. Thank you, sir. May I have another? (as long as it's not Levels)

Love Comes Again (Hardwell 2011 Rework) by Tiësto feat. BT

Says Hardwell:

"It has been circling around on the internet for months and can be heard in almost every liveset Tiesto and Hardwell played in 2011! We are talking about the massive Hardwell Rework of Tiësto ft BT ‘Love Comes Again’! A true classic reworked; keeping the vibe, vocal and huge melody of the original and giving it a 2011 touch in that distinctive Hardwell sound. BT’s vocals are still touching as no other and building towards the climax Hardwell gives the chord progression that big room touch, Check it out as this will be big!!"

Seek Bromance (Axwell Vocal Bootleg) by Tim Berg

Now this is what I'm talking about. The real stuff. The good stuff. A classic Tim Berg track that will always remind me of how he was before Avicii. A track that will forever stick, no matter what happens, it will always be a Tim Berg production and not Avicii. Not saying the new stuff sucks, don't get me wrong. The new stuff is awesome but the old was something different and it still is every time I give it a listen.

Axwell taking the track for a spin with his vocal bootleg of this beautiful track called "Seek Bromance." A genius for a genius. The perfect representation why it's called as it is.

Fuck School (And Party Instead) by Avicii & Nicky Romero

Sick and tired of "Levels?" Well, I am. Avicii can actually do some terrorist work with that song. It's playing everywhere! The radio, commercials, timeouts and even in wrestling! Really, wrestling?! It's actually surprising that he hasn't pushed through with some world domination plans or something.

Now, I have for you, the next in line to replace that weapon of mass destruction we call "Levels," a team-up between rising superstar Nicky Romero and of course, the artist formerly known as Tim Berg. I read that the collaboration is legit following speculations that it isn't but the track's title called "Fuck School" still needs the confirmation.

So without further ado, the next song to take over the world, featuring a sample from Justice's "D.A.N.C.E.," Avicii & Nicky Romero.

Update: Fuck School (Original Mix) by Avicii & Nicky Romero

Dying (feat. Ultraviolet Sound & Emily Hudson) by Kill The Noise

Kill The Noise out with a new EP called Kill Kill Kill via Skrillex's label, OWSLA.

Equal parts electro-house and dubstep, it delivers a sensory overload from beginning to end, and one of the tracks in particular, the intro to the album, is an advancement to the genre of dubstep as a whole. Every track is so special in its own unique way. and that is incredibly commendable (via Big 10 House Mafia).

Full download available in Beatport. Check out my favorite track part of the new EP called "Dying" featuring Ultraviolet Sound and beautiful vocals from Emily Hudson.

Calling (Clinton Sparks 'This is My Life Calling' Edit) by Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso

Here's what I think is a great edit of Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso's amazing anthem, "Calling." Adding extra vocals into the mix, Boston-based DJ/producer Clinton Sparks doing a good job pumping up the anthem factor up a notch. Although the 2:22 cut I did not like much, but the 4:48 vocals just made up for it. Chant along after this jump.

Album: Born To Die by Lana Del Rey

While on tour and constantly performing in Europe,  blog-world sensation Lana Del Rey made an important announcement regarding her awaited debut album during her very last stop of the tour.  The announcement came after a performance of her widely popular "Video Games" via French television program, Taratata. Album is set to drop very early next year, early as in January and it will be called Born to Die (or Born 2 Die) and will be under Interscope Records.

Her fourth release will be the title track and will be released real soon so stay-tuned. Check out a video of her as she debuts the track in a concert she did in Paris.

Scale It Back (Robotaki Remix) by DJ Shadow

And a round of applause for a first Robotaki post. Reading more on this guy lead me to ready made remixes from the likes of Shinichi Osawa, Housse De Racket, Chilly Gonzales and a few beats for those Korean hotties they call Girls' Generation, all found in his Soundcloud. Here's more on Robotaki...

"Hey! My name's Preston and I’m 20 years old. As "Robotaki," I produce music between the other happenings of my life, something I've been doing for about 4-5 years so far. I'm now in first year university at McGill University at Montreal, Quebec. Analog sounds and raw waveforms have a warm place in my heart.I plan to maintain music as an active part of my life, despite the seemingly differing career choices I'm heading towards at the moment. As far as the production hardware and software goes, I run FL Studio 9 on an average computer bought in 2008 with an array of VSTs.The only "hardware" I use is literally the keyboard, mouse, a decent pair of AKG headphones, and the screen, and maybe the nearby desk lamp since that gives me a bit of light haha. Safe to say, I'm dying to get my hands on my first controller soon. For remix and production inquiriesabraham@bigdog.fm"

His latest work is from a recent from DJ Shadow who is apparently hosting a remix competition for his "Scale It Back" song featuring the awesome vocals of Little Dragon lead, Yukimi Nagano. In my opinion, after hearing Robotaki's entry, competition over. We have a winner!

Obviously a perfect track to begin with, Robotaki simply enhances the elements of the song and effectively adding his mark to it but not too much to overdose. This kid has... Is potential. Happy to be able to post about him.

Enough is Enough (Project 46 Bootleg) by Avicii

"There comes a time when Project 46 unleashes a new bootleg and it subsequently shakes your world just a tiny bit. That time is, now. P46 has gone out and put their own refreshing zesty lime twist on Avicii’s, Enough is Enough and it’s definitely a tune to be added into the iPod jungle we all possess. For the DJs out there, add this one to your arsenal… (via Salacious Sound)"

Take Care (Mike Irish Remix) by Drake

Yes, this is my third "Take Care" post and yes, this is a favorite from Drake's new album Take Care which is also the title track (now that was redundant). This time it's Mike Irish putting himself on the map with his spin on the chart-topper. A top-notch producer who brings his A-game with every release including this one.

This 10-minute long effort consists of a natural build-up to these heavy breaks and, of course, along with the beautiful vocals to begin with. The Jamie xx part also gets emphasized more which is my most fancied part of the entire product. I'm still NOT a fan of the usual top 40 playlists but this offering just might give it a chance. Good job!

You Already New (Prod. Oh No) by Black Star

Black Star are definitely back to work and back in the business. Mos Def Yasiin Bey and Talib Kweli just dropped the Madlib production "Fix Up" yesterday via iTunes but it seems that it was not enough. So they released an additional that will be a part of their Black Star Aretha mixtape, a tribute to the great Aretha Franklin.

The cut is actually produced by Oh No, Talib Kweli's brother. Not of the usual energetic release coming from him though but really working-out and sounding good. Sultry Hip-Hop release perfect for a #BlackFriday night.

Take Care (Drake Cover) by Florence + The Machine

There are good covers and there are definitely bad ones but this one just obviously belongs to the awesome. Florence + The Machine surprising their fans with a very beautiful cover of Drake, Rihanna, and Jamie xx's "Take Care," the title track of Drizzy's chart-topping new album on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge at Maida Vale Studios.

Before proceeding with the performance, she notes that the three artists who make-up the original are three of her "absolute favorites" so I guess it's pure love what just came out as an outcome. The collective breaking out with natural soul, adding more strings for that signature cinematic sound they are known for.

Video: The Knowing by The Weeknd

The first official video of The Weeknd after a tweet stating that there will be none six months ago. Paris-based filmmaker Mikael Colombu puts his spin on "The Knowing." A legit seven minute production for the closing track of the critically acclaimed debut mixtape, House of Balloons.

The storyline begins with the historical fall of Ethiopian emperor Haile Selassie “The Conquering Lion of Judah” then moves onto what appears to be his heart being reprocessed by a warrior woman and into The Weeknd. In the closing scene Selassie’s face is shown trading places with The Weeknd in an effort to save the woman who stole his heart from dying (via Cmongood).

Video: Sleep (feat. Aaron Livingston) by The Roots

"undun is an existential re-telling of the short life of one Redford Stephens (1974-1999). Through the use of emotives and Redford's internal dialogues the album seeks to illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out 'on the corner'. Utilizing a reverse narrative arc, the album begins as the listener finds Redford disoriented--postmortem--and attempting to make sense of his former life. As he moves through its pivotal moments he begins to deconstruct all that has led to his (and our own) coming undun."

Here is the much awaited conclusion to the undun video series which is ironically the first tune off the upcoming album. "Sleep" is of course a follow-up to the The Roots' gritty conceptual of its preceding counterparts. It features Aaron Livingston is produced by Hot Sugar.

If you haven’t been up to speed with the fictional on Redford Stephens upon whom undun is based, the basic concept is that the his story will be told in reverse, meaning that this first track is in fact the end of Redford’s story (via Pigeons and Planes). Purposely, the story was made unclear whether he is the killer or the person killed but either way, putting together all the clues, it all suggests that life ends with murder.

Sky Dive (2012) by Daft Punk

So on Facebook there have been rumors of a girl on some forum talking about how she finds in her dad's flash drive a file called "Daft Punk – Sky Dive (2012) (Promo Previews)" (supposedly the new album) and immediately decides to post it on sendspace. Could this be a legitimate leak of what to expect from the legendary duo next year? The tracks do have the same style if not very similar to Daft Punk's usual productions. Interesting... See for yourself.

Track List:

01. Daft Punk - LCD (LED)
02. Daft Punk - Waiting Line (feat. Mr. Oizo)
03. Daft Punk - Taking Control

Says the leak:

“My name’s Emma, I’m 19 and i live in London UK!

“My dad works at Virgin Records in the UK and has access to the servers on their computers. He came home Friday night with a USB stick, i use it from time to time for my files for Uni. I had to put some photos from my computer to my dads so i used his USB on Sunday. When i did so, i found something interesting…”

“I found a file on the USB titled 'Daft Punk – Sky Dive (2012) (Promo Previews)'

To add to the speculation, on November 11th, 2011, the logo of the official Facebook page, MySpace page and official website of Daft Punk changed to a red theme. Daft Punk’s logo has changed for every new album or tour: red-orange (Homework), chrome (Discovery), black (Human After All), blue (Alive 2007). (via Vacay Wave) What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving Day than with the leak of the year, eh? Happy Thanksgiving!
