High Life (Vanguard Valentine Remix) by Daft Punk
While you were dining at some restaurant with a loved one on the 14th, Vanguard were hard at work making magic in the studio. This is yet another perfect example of Vanguard’s proficiency at appreciating the direction of a track while still adding their own unique signature sound. This is probably the only time I’ve seen this song of Daft Punk off the album Discovery been re-done tastefully. They definitely still have it. From a basement in Cardiff to you; here is Vanguard’s latest. (via Vacay Wave)
Helix (La Felix Remix) by Daft Punk vs. Justice
Ah yes, La Felix, the person responsible for that awesome cut on Aloe Blacc's "I Need A Dollar." Who could forget? The blog world sure wouldn't. It was all over The Hype Machine and I think it even reached the top. He's back with more quality stuff and yes, he has done it again. His latest offering is from two of the most influential duos in the EDM scene. Daft Punk and Justice in a clash like no other, specially made for our hearing pleasure. Check it out and give this guy some love.
Derezzed (Avicii Vocal Mix) (Alex Prigenzi Edit) by Daft Punk
A while back, a bunch of remixes to the Tron: Legacy soundtrack were all over the internet. It was Daft Punk’s Tron: R3c0nf1gur3d. One remix that stood out was Avicii's remix of "Derezzed." If you haven't heard this one then you're really in for a treat because like me, this is the first.
Surprising that this track didn't blow-up like his other more popular songs (*cough* Levels). Avicii making good work out of the legendary Daft Punk's masterpiece. Although most of the time Avicii's productions never disappoint, adding vocals to the original wasn't a bad idea. Alex Prigenzi adding to the equation with solid vocals for support. Brilliant!
Sky Sailor (Float Away) (feat. TRS-80 & Ariel Pink) by Daft Punk
The Sky Sailor EP is a five song compilation that includes two brand new Daft Punk remixes from the TRON Legacy soundtrack by TRS-80, one featuring new lyrics and vocals by Ariel Pink and is also the title track of the EP called "Sky Sailor (Float Away)."

Sky Dive (2012) by Daft Punk
So on Facebook there have been rumors of a girl on some forum talking about how she finds in her dad's flash drive a file called "Daft Punk – Sky Dive (2012) (Promo Previews)" (supposedly the new album) and immediately decides to post it on sendspace. Could this be a legitimate leak of what to expect from the legendary duo next year? The tracks do have the same style if not very similar to Daft Punk's usual productions. Interesting... See for yourself.
Track List:
01. Daft Punk - LCD (LED)
02. Daft Punk - Waiting Line (feat. Mr. Oizo)
03. Daft Punk - Taking Control
Says the leak:
“My name’s Emma, I’m 19 and i live in London UK!
“My dad works at Virgin Records in the UK and has access to the servers on their computers. He came home Friday night with a USB stick, i use it from time to time for my files for Uni. I had to put some photos from my computer to my dads so i used his USB on Sunday. When i did so, i found something interesting…”

To add to the speculation, on November 11th, 2011, the logo of the official Facebook page, MySpace page and official website of Daft Punk changed to a red theme. Daft Punk’s logo has changed for every new album or tour: red-orange (Homework), chrome (Discovery), black (Human After All), blue (Alive 2007). (via Vacay Wave) What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving Day than with the leak of the year, eh? Happy Thanksgiving!
Something About Us (Cherokee Remix) by Daft Punk
Everyone has had their fair share of Daft Punk remixes. Some are good and some are... Well, not even worth the time. But there is always that release that stands-out among the rest. French electronic duo, Cherokee, comes-up with their version of Daft Punk 2001 classic, "Something About Us," which is now included in the top 10 of that list.
They did a good job in maintaining that 90's electronic vibe which propelled this Discovery classic to stardom in the first place. A very relaxed melody over some calm vocals to give it that warm playback yet still bustin' that groove. Simple and well-made, definitely worth the listen.
Unreleased: Drive by Daft Punk
"Drive" is a track made by the legendary French duo, Daft Punk, in 1994. The track remained hidden or maybe even locked away in a dungeon somewhere in Soma Records' studio until today. Well, the official preview of it that is. Full release will be featured in Soma's 20 Years. Here's a brief history of the unreleased track and of how they are now known as legends.
"At the tail end of 2010 we trailed boxes of DATs, pictures and god-only-knows what else to find artefacts of Soma's early days. Imagine our surprise when we discovered a tape simply entitled Daft Drive. We hooked up the DAT machine and inserted the tape with the delicacy of a surgeon, pressing play and praying that for one, the tape contained what we hoped, and two, that it didn't chew it like a dog chewing on a bone. In amongst the hiss and crackle, the most monstrous 909 kick drum thudded. Daft Punk's "Drive" track had been rediscovered. Playing through was Live Daft Punk; freaky vocals, pounding Roland drums & synths and that archetypal DP compression. After standing in silence, witnessing this moment, the track faded off and we heard the sound of the French spoken word that the recording had been made over; the remnants of their parents audio collection. The tape had originally been sent with "Rollin' and Scratchin'" to be released as Soma25. But Soma asked these two bright-eyed and Techno-bound Frenchman, to finish and send "Da Funk" to accompany "Rollin' and Scratchin'" and "Drive" was shelved for a later date…"
Classic Daft Punk in their ripe stage. A whole lot of Rollin' and Scratchin' in this one. Hardcore and intense. Listen-in closely and elements of the recent duo will start to show. Stream the official preview after the skip.
