New Lupe Fiasco just surfaced and it will be the first leak off the previously cancelled mixtape, Friend Of The People, which is dropping on November 24 (Thanksgiving Day).
Always been a fan of his rhymes. This time, he adds a sample of a favorite with Ellie Goulding's "Lights" remixed by electronic and dubstep producer, Bassnectar, in the mix. What's good about this track is that the background is already stand-alone, with soothing vocals from Ellie and enchanting synths and beats from Bassnectar. Add Lupe to the equation and it's an awesome boom-bap!
The Attention Deficit Remix Tape: Vol.1 by TOKiMONSTA
This woman named Jennifer Lee is really starting to grow on me. No I don't have a crush on her and no she is not the porn star. She is the woman behind the name TOKiMONSTA. Born and raised in the City Of Angels, an aspiring pianist but fell in love instead with the world of beats. With her background in classical music, she makes use of this in order to create "vast textural soundscapes by utilizing live instruments, percussion, digital manipulation, and dusty vinyl." A mouthful isn't it? Basically, she creates music by mixing the old with the new to come up with something unique to the ears.
This is the first mixtape I have from her aside from a few of her tracks I already fancy. I'm telling you, she's really good. With classics from Lupe Fiasco, MF Doom and a few more. One of the best sampling I've heard so far. An oldie but a goody, a big mistake not to share.

How To Make It America: The Mixtape
After days of searching, I finally was able to locate a working link of the very first mixtape of the hit comedy series, "How To Make It In America." It won't be right to post a volume 2 without the first one, correct? So this is me trying to catch-up, again.
Kid Cudi x DJ Green Lantern x Broke Mogul team-up with the premium cable television network, HBO, for the soundtrack. All throughout the mixtape, info about the cast and the show as it is hosted by Cudi himself, also adding a few stuff of his own to the mix. Featuring music from Jadakiss, Aloe Blacc, Yacht, Chromeo, Duck Sauce, Holy Ghost!, Florence + The Machine, Lupe Fiasco, Phoenix and more. Check it out for yourself. Download link after this jump.
