Detroit Game (feat. Chuck Inglish & Boldy James) by J Dilla
The posthumous J Dillla album Rebirth of Detroit drops Tuesday, June 12, but before that we've got "Detroit Game," a track from the album featuring Detroit residents Chuck Inglish and Boldy James. Featuring a murky beat with sunny bass, the song's roughly the 5,248th impressive track we've heard from Dilla, who passed away suddenly in 2006 at the age of 32. (via Prefix)

Mixtape: J Dilla Tribute Mix on Hot97 by Questlove
After having Pete Rock kick off the “Black Fist Fridays” Throwback at Noon series, Mister Cee tapped Questlove to spin his favorite tunes this afternoon. He mixed it up with an incredible selection of classics from J. Dilla, Mos Def, Tribe, and all the oldies. Quest dedicated his set to Dilla, who he says was his mentor. (via MissInfo.tv) Warning! The Mission (feat. Guilty Simpson) by Eric Lau
It's been a long time coming but UK-based DJ Eric Lau is back and he gets another chance to work with Detroit's finest, Guilty Simpson, for his most recent release, "The Mission." It will be part of an upcoming project, a finale for the year of 2011 which will drop in less than a wee via Kilawatt Music.
We get the same Lau feel on this one, Eric Lau 101. Feel good and super smooth. Very easy to listen to. Stream the beat after the skip.

Years have past since the actual release of Dilla's final LP. This is the first official video off the LP via Stone Throw's make your own video contest. Tuomas Vauhkonen and Jeremias Nieminen won that battle and their weapon of choice, Dilla's "Last Donut Of The Night."

Obviously I wasn't aware that a 3-part documentary series about J Dilla and his life in Los Angeles was released by Stussy... So here I am trying to keep up. The documentary was divided to 3 release dates (February 11, 17, & 24), all falling on a Wednesday. On the Saturday of its first release, "Dilla Day" was celebrated along with the release of the limited edition J Dilla x Stussy x Stones Throw tee with a print-out of Rash Rashid's photo of the legend...
