Love Of My Life (Kaytradamus Remix) by Erykah Badu
Here I got you a dope Kaytradamus remix. Came across this from Soulection's picks and seeing that Erykah Badu name on the title, I just had to check it out. Kay sets his producer talents on Erykah Badu's "Love Of My Life" and it's good. Really good.
Love Of My Life (Shelltoes Edit) by Erykah Badu
Shelltoes began collecting notoriety in the blogosphere with I Was Told There Would Be Refreshments, an album full of sundry, lightly changing, beat systems and female vocal samples. Not straying too far from this established sound is his remix of “Love Of My Life” by Erykah Badu.
Shelltoes edit of this song in particular, which appears on an album full of remixes titled The Expired Dairy Gamble, shows the producer taking a risk with song choice and fully coming out on top. His additions add new dimensions to Erykah’s already-hit song and do it justice. (via The Music Ninja)
On and On (Adi Dick Remix) by Erykah Badu
An "On and On" remix by Erykah Badu? Highly unnecessary. But New Zealand-based, Adi Dick's remix could not be ignored. Originally inspired by a missed Badu performance, this track is pure perfection. Must've been done on a rainy evening, with the yellow lights on or something because the result is really smooth and sexy.
I Want You (Rancido's Deepersoul Edit) by Erykah Badu
Just stumbled across this great edit of one of my favourite Erykah Badu tracks. This is how I found out about Amsterdam-based Rancido. So deep. so soulful.
Now I Understand by The Flaming Lips & Erykah Badu
The Flaming Lips are kicking off 2012 with a typically obtuse, psychadelic mini-release you’ll only have a week to check out. “Now I Understand,” just uploaded to the band’s SoundCloud for a few days, features vocal contributions from frontman Wayne Coyne’s Siri iPhone 4s app alongside the mystical stylings of Erykah Badu and a reversed Biz Markie sample. The end product is surprisingly listenable for all its strange disparate parts – we just wish Siri always sounded like Erykah Badu, whose haunting pipes perfectly ground the spacey strangeness of everything else.(via PMA)

Video: Sometimes (feat. RBTO) by June Marieezy
June Marieezy is a young singer-songwriter whose musical style coincides with the fusion of hiphop, jazz and soul. The first time I heard her sing, I was in awe. Her hypnotic voice slung me in like a rodeo bull. She reminds me of Erykah Badu. And as I’ve said before, sounds like a much slicker, cooler, hiphop version of Adele. No gas, just truth. (via Pizza & Beer)
Listening to June is just a breath of fresh air when it comes to local hip-hop and soul. She is truly very talented and it comes out so effortless. Legit in vocals and in beats (via JDG). I first heard "Sometimes" as an unreleased track, part of Alex Wong's So Classy Mixtape, and already I knew that the track was going to be big. I was right. Now with new visuals to accompany, I'm glad the spotlight is on her. Cheers to good music and cheers to real music!

The Mission (feat. Guilty Simpson) by Eric Lau
It's been a long time coming but UK-based DJ Eric Lau is back and he gets another chance to work with Detroit's finest, Guilty Simpson, for his most recent release, "The Mission." It will be part of an upcoming project, a finale for the year of 2011 which will drop in less than a wee via Kilawatt Music.
We get the same Lau feel on this one, Eric Lau 101. Feel good and super smooth. Very easy to listen to. Stream the beat after the skip.
For those who are new to the Eric Lau experience, I'm including a bonus download so the you get the real feel of what Lau 101 really is. A 52-minute "2011 Asian Tour Mix" via BTS which includes gifts from J Dilla, The Roots, Erykah Badu and more. Enjoy the experience!
Video: Out Of My Mind, Just In Time Movement by Erykah Badu
We all know what a true artist is really capable of. Good vocals, level of musicality, album artworks and visual presentation. Erykah Badu is all of the above. Always adding a signature stamp on her creations which makes her work unique. Here I have an example of what a true artist Erykah really is by going simple and straight with her three-part visuals series movement. Taken from the last track of her New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh album with "Out Of My Mind, Just In Time" that she directed herself. Photography by Coodie & Chike via Creative Control.
Now she's back with the second movement to her phenomenal video series, "Out Of My Mind, Just In Time." Like the first, the movie is "stripped down and bare" going for the minimalist approach. The perfect way to show more talent that she already has so much of. Pretty interested with what is installed for us with the third movements.
