Video: J Dilla Documentary

Obviously I wasn't aware that a 3-part documentary series about J Dilla and his life in Los Angeles was released by Stussy... So here I am trying to keep up. The documentary was divided to 3 release dates (February 11, 17, & 24), all falling on a Wednesday. On the Saturday of its first release, "Dilla Day" was celebrated along with the release of the limited edition J Dilla x Stussy x Stones Throw tee with a print-out of Rash Rashid's photo of the legend...

Says The Fader

"With J. Dilla you get the sense that certain people could just talk about him forever, telling stories about the minutiae of a beat or his idiosyncrasies in the studio. The detail of his life is what will make him an endlessly fascinating figure in music, on top of his actual musical influence. Stussy added another layer to the oral history by producing this three-part documentary of the key Stones Throw figures spinning their best yarns about personal experiences with him and have now posted it in full."

Although the series has come to its conclusion, I think it's best to share it again in full. With interviews from friends and other creative minds like Houseshouse, Peanut Butter Wolf, Egon, Frank Nitty, Rhettmatic, and more... Presenting the greatest hip-hop beats producer: J Dilla
