Bounce, Unreleased

From remixes coming from the big men of the electronic scene like The Bloody Beetroots and Felix Cartal, "Bounce" from MSTRKRFT is definitely one of the classic anthems of electro music.

This time it's a remix coming from the raging LA Riots. An unreleased remix supposedly until maybe they decided to share it to the world anyway but still tagging it "unreleased" for the title. Check out the "one part dance, two parts rage" track after the skip.

Good Love

Now that I'm almost a 100% recovered from the hangover I was talking about from the previous entry, time to increase the volume to about 3 clicks. I give you a new progressive house track from a combination of DEVolution, Amy Pearson and Inrosso's padawan, Alesso. If you listen carefully, the track is Swedish House Mafia-ish, which is awesome. Proof of how much of a good student Alesso is to Ingrosso. There is no doubt that this track will be landing the charts and possibly be another club anthem. Please, no over-playing...

Hours

"Hours" is a track made by the graphic designer and blogger, Scott Hansen, who produces as Tycho. Just the right track for a person nursing a very bad hangover, I say. It really takes the edge off. Listen-in and you'll understand.

Says Pitchfork:

"Dive, the new full-length from beatific producer Scott Hansen's Tycho project, is out November 15 via Ghostly. You've heard the excellent first single "Hours", and now here's an equally blissful remix from Vancouver beatmaker Teen Daze."

Helena Beat

Everyone loves Foster The People. So much love that other artists are starting to honor their tracks this early in their career. One of those artist did a really good job by doing a brilliant remix of the song "Helena Beat."

Says Lenno:

"Had the honor to do a remix for Foster The People's brand new remix EP. Retained the awesome pop chorus but changed the instruments to pumping nu-disco."

Go Outside

In celebration of no boss day today, I decided to go for a more happy and playful track to post. "Go Outside" is a single from the indie sensation from Manhattan, Cults, who is currently making waves in the indie scene for their 60's/70's pop sound. Scan through the reportedly controversial video after the skip.

This time an adaptation with a more soulful twist coming from the Brooklyn Afro-Funk group, The Menahan Street Band via RCRDLBL. Another example of two artists mixed together for an even better end result. A mix of smooth guitars and trumpets with the classic sounding vocal to complete that dusty old school sound. True proof of the evolution of sound.

Fela Soul

I came across this article and the album art looked really familiar so I decided to scan and listen-in. Turns out, it was worth it. Funky horns and sick rhymes? C'mon! What could possibly be wrong about that?!

Says World of Underground Hip-Hop:

"What do you get when you put together afrobeat legend Fela Kuti and rap pioneers De La Soul? You get Fela Soul; a musical tapestry created by Gummy Soul artist Amerigo Gazaway. More than just a clever title, Fela Soul is an 8-track, 33 minute journey into the world of afrobeat rhythms, funky horn riffs,  and classic hip-hop gems. Using dozens of  hand-picked samples from the Nigerian instrumentalist and political figure Fela Kuti, and 8 carefully-chosen acapellas from the Native Tongue rap trio De La Soul, Amerigo seamlessly intertwines the two into something completely new and original."

R.I.P. Mehdi

Mehdi Favéris-Essadi, also known as the French-born hip-hop and electro producer DJ Mehdi, has reportedly passed-away at the young age of 34.

Says Bad Fotography:

"DJ Mehdi has apparently died from an accident when part of a stage fell on top of him. Heard it from Digikid84‘s facebook profile first and then his twitter, and then twitter went mad with the rumour  (it’s in fact trending right now) and then this french news article came out."

A very big loss to the music industry. Wishes go out to his friends and family and to his Ed Banger crew.

Love In Motion

Wanna hear a newly made Skrillex remix? Well, you've come to the right space. I love how Skrillex funked around with an already sexy track from SebastiAn and Mayer Hawthorne. A sample of light vocals and heavy Dubstep playing in unison. Although it technically is still a disturbing dubstep track, it still maintains that retro-funk feel that flows smoothly through the ears. A certified banger that even your neighbors will approve. Blast away!
