What You Feel by Teen Daze
Teen Daze has posted a track that didn't quite make the cut for his first full-length album, All Of Us, Together, which should give you an indication as to the quality level you're going to find on that release.
Even Though (Teen Daze Remix) by XXYYXX & Giraffage
“Even Though” is the latest work from San Francisco’s producer Giraffage, who joined forces with Orlando’s producer Marcel Everett aka XXYYXX. Besides Teen Daze’s remix, there are also reworks from Slow Magic, REID and The One AM. Another great release via Kitsuné, and you can already purchase it on Beatport. Enjoy this freebie and buy the entire pack, because it’s really good! (via Golden Scissors)
The Future by Teen Daze
"The Future" is the third single off Vancouver's Teen Daze's new album, All Of Us, Together. A very dreamy track, smooth, but still very danceable. The markings only of a Teen Daze track. Stay-tuned for the album dropping this May. Hoping for more tunes!
Colours (Teen Daze Remix) by Young Liars
Vancouver’s Young Liars are young, literally. Whether or not they are also liars really doesn't matter. Because their sweet indie-pop song “Colours” sounds like something Phoenix would have made in their poorer, mellower days.
Teen Daze’s careful refit of the track is full of pumped up twinkles, fist-in-the-air beats and stadium swells, but never dampens what’s essential to this one’s core joy: the charming green of a new band not caring where they end up as long as it’s somewhere. (via RCRDLBL)
Brooklyn Sunburn by Teen Daze
Teen Daze will release on May 22nd All Of Us, Together, his first full-length. With the amount of success Jamison has reached in recent years, this seems a little ridiculous. He has put out multiple singles and EPs here and there, and even finds time to produce just as successfully under his other project Two Bicycles. But this Teen Daze LP will be different. It’s an homage to utopian visions marred by futuristic synths and grounding emotions. Over on The Fader, Jamison has been quoted as saying, “We’re becoming more and more self-reliant, more and more separated from our communities. I wanted to make a record that sounded more synthetic but also inviting. This is futuristic music with a heart.” In other words, this record has the all the elements of a timeless classic: one that is capable of transporting us to an unrealized world but still retains beauty from the now. Let's Groove by Teen Daze
Here's something new and out of the ordinary. Remember that legendary 1981 synth-disco track from Earth, Wind & Fire called "Let's Groove?" Ever heard a remix that was worth the listen? Vancouver production genius, Teen Daze, chopping himself a version like we've never seen him do and yes, it is good.
From classic disco to ambient, dance and electronic. Imagine how good that sounds. Teen Daze making sure to put that indie spin of electronica for that official modern listen. "It is now instantly upbeat, infectious and insanely dance-worthy."
Hours
So happy to come across this track from Tycho. "A song that spreads out for almost six minutes and gives everybody some time to get comfortable in its atmosphere."
"Hours" is a track made by the graphic designer and blogger, Scott Hansen, who produces as Tycho. Just the right track for a person nursing a very bad hangover, I say. It really takes the edge off. Listen-in and you'll understand.
Says Pitchfork:
"Dive, the new full-length from beatific producer Scott Hansen's Tycho project, is out November 15 via Ghostly. You've heard the excellent first single "Hours", and now here's an equally blissful remix from Vancouver beatmaker Teen Daze."
