Video: Wildfire (Live at Coachella) by SBTRKT

Now that the first week of Coachella 2012 has finally wrapped up, you can start expect even more videos to surface of live performances that many may have missed to start trickling online. For this post we bring you the visuals of SBTRKT taking the Coachella stage and playing "Wildfire," the globally successful collaboration with Little Dragon's Yukimi Nagano. The song was definitely a fan favorite during the set, and as it was accompanied with a live instrumentation. Check out the seven-minute long footage and enjoy. (via Hypetrak)

Hold On (SiSi BakBak Remix) by SBTRKT

The absolutely stunning SBTRKT track “Hold On” receives a reworking from Thom Yorke (of Radiohead fame) and his new SiSi BakBak side project and he churns out a more melancholic and downplayed tone all while maintaining the pulsating and steady beat of the original version. (via Discobelle)

Atomic Peace by SBTRKT

On his 2011 self-titled record and the assorted non-album tracks he’s been dropping left and right since then, anonymous, genre-busting London producer SBTRKT is giving the UK’s art-dubstep trend a poppy, maximalist run for its money – to great effect, judging by the insane number of gushing timed comments on the stream of his latest leaked banger, “Atomic Peace,” which was just released on SBTRKT’s Soundcloud page though it was recorded in 2009.

The Múm-sampling cut’s got enough percolating synth glimmers, clubby bass, and undulating background drones for James Blake to spread out over an entire record, all packed into a neat, relistenable four-minute package. “Atomic Peace” may be unattached, but we hope we can expect more in this vein from SBTRKT this year. Hold On (Them Jeans Bootleg) by SBTRKT

No need for much description on this one. Los Angeles' own DJ and producer, Jason a.k.a. Them Jeans, has a new SBTRKT remix and has placed it up for grabs. Deliciously made is the track and it shows much respect for the original. Big things happening for Them Jeans.

Soundboy Shift by SBTRKT

"Soundboy Shift" is a minimal but very persistent track by SBTRKT. Loops go on-and-on with swirling two-steps and tech all through out. A few breaks here and there to make it through the end strong. You know the drill, streaming always below.

Thinking About You (SBTRKT Remix) by Frank Ocean

Not so much a fan of Frank Ocean until this one. "Thinking About You" is a souled-out piece from the R&B sensation. An emotive cut which recently caught the attention of one of UK's hottest beat-maker, SBTRKT, and moved him to do a cut of his own.

It appears that Mr. Ocean left quite a mark on the UK listeners after headlining a concert in London just recently. The remix does not stray away too much from the original. Just giving it the right amount of edit towards the instrumentals to give it that added element. Distorting it with more echoes and synth. Sort of sounds like "Trials of The Past" doesn't it?

The King Of Limbs

The final installment to Radiohead's remix series has finally come to play and my man, Thom Yorke, has definitely saved the biggest slice of the cake for last. And the winner for the best Radiohead remix goes to...

Lotus Flower - SBTRKT RMX by Radiohead

After hearing a few of the remixes part of the TKOL RMX 1234567 series, for me, SBTRKT's version of "Lotus Flower" was the best. It is just brilliant! Proving again that he is truly one of the hottest electronic DJ/producer at present. Putting a naturally sounding twist with a very soft build-up and background mixing-in with Yorke's mellow vocals.

12" out now along with "Bloom" by Jamie xx and Separator by Anstam. The complete double-CD album will be made available October 10 and 11.

Bloom - Jamie xx Rework by Radiohead

This one was too short...

Trials Of The Past

So this is what SBTRKT looks like when he's not wearing the full-faced creepy bearded native society ceremonial mask...

Says V on Stuck On Repeat:

"SBTRKT likely threw a lot of people for a loop with his just released, self-titled album. In a word, it’s unexpected. SBTRKT marries of the moment bass sounds with soulful vocal contributions. With so much of the music coming out of this scene right now focused on vocal deconstruction and manipulation, hearing clean melodies is instantly powerful, and refreshing. I can’t listen to the album though, without nostalgia kicking my ass. Memories of the first time I heard MJ Cole and Artful Dodger flood my head. And I’m thankful that a whole new generation will get to experience that excitement, thanks to SBTRKT. “Trials Of The Past” with Sampha’s aching, longing vocals is my favorite of the bunch."

Says ANT:

SBTRKT and Sampha make a really good team, eh? Our favorite masked London-based producer did it again with this track I came across in Stuck On Repeat. Why it got there? You be the judge. But in my opinion, now that I have a copy of it, it really does get stuck on repeat.

Following his video release of the hit, "Wildfire..."

"Do you where a mask?"
