Video: Sometimes (feat. RBTO) by June Marieezy

June Marieezy is a young singer-songwriter whose musical style coincides with the fusion of hiphop, jazz and soul. The first time I heard her sing, I was in awe. Her hypnotic voice slung me in like a rodeo bull. She reminds me of Erykah Badu. And as I’ve said before, sounds like a much slicker, cooler, hiphop version of Adele. No gas, just truth. (via Pizza & Beer)

Listening to June is just a breath of fresh air when it comes to local hip-hop and soul. She is truly very talented and it comes out so effortless. Legit in vocals and in beats (via JDG). I first heard "Sometimes" as an unreleased track, part of Alex Wong's So Classy Mixtape, and already I knew that the track was going to be big. I was right. Now with new visuals to accompany, I'm glad the spotlight is on her. Cheers to good music and cheers to real music!

Mixtape: GoodStuff The Mixtape by Alex Wong

Alex Wong is back with another one, bringin' back the music that we forgot (just the way he likes it). A collection of some of the greatest old school hip-hop and r&b records that go way back in the late 90's, "back in the days when I was young, I'm not a kid anymore," you know how it goes. With a few cuts of them smooth hits here and there. Check out and see how many you could recognize and don't forget to keep on bobbin' that head of yours.

So Classy Vol. 2

SO CLASSY VOL. 2

Mixtape by: Alex Wong

I've been waiting around on this mixtape for a while now and finally it came out to play. If you haven't heard the first installment of this series, here is where you can download and check it out.

Mr. Wong told me that if that first one was all about soul, funk, and the classics of hip-hop, this one was pretty much the same... But with interesting twists. Listen and hear for yourself.

For the love and for your listening pleasure, I give you, So Classy Vol. 2. And always remember... Stay Classy!
