Where Is My Mind? (Pixies Cover) by Sunday Girl
Sunday Girl's beautiful cover version of Pixies' "Where Is My Mind?" currently scattered on UK television on the Thomson Holidays advertisement. I sure hope it starts sounding like this every Sunday.
Love U More (Them Jeans Remix) by Sunday Girl
More Sunday Girl remixes are surfacing. Looks like her "Love U More" is turning out to be remix friendly after all. A great blend of gorgeous sounding vocals, harmonious sounding claps and dreamy synths is the most recent offering by Them Jeans.
Video: Love U More by Sunday Girl
Have you watched the Sunday Girl's latest offering? The official video to the 1992 Sunscreem cover, "Love U More." Watch as she whips her hair back and forth like Willow Smith but in a more elegant fashion (not annoying). Slower, with more air, more beautiful women, more close-ups and glitters instead of paint. Check out the 2:17 mark for major fierce-ness! "Love U More" will be released on December 4 via iTunes UK.
Says Muumuse:
"A lush electro-pop cover of a 1992 Sunscreem hit as crooned by Sunday Girl set to a video of various fashionistas and model types dramtically whipping their hair in stylish and expensive-looking garments on loop."
Sunday Girl
Jade Williams, a British-model/dream-pop singer, is part of a new batch of up-and-coming artists who is performing under the name, Sunday Girl. She has actually been around the scene for a while now with a few releases under her name. Her debut "Four Floors" who caught Diplo's attention for a remix, "Self-Control" a Laura Branigan cover as her second and a third called "Stop Hey" which was released earlier this year.
Being under the radar for months, she announces her latest effort, "Love U More," a Sunscreem 1992 classic. Also, a new album being brewed wherein she was able to work again with Diplo, UK's Jim Elliot, and according to her is now getting treatment from a good friend named Martin Solveig.
This new direction in dance music is doing great for her. Not a full-on dance takeover but borderline indie and pop to give it that euphoric fusion. Check it!
Although the original is almost perfect and impossible to improve upon, I have for you an exclusive remix by the Remix Artist Collective which should be an honor in her part. Once you hear this one, you will right away notice how girly the original is and that this one tops it instantly. Funky fresh beats to deliver bad news in the lyrics in a way oh so sweet.
“Let the sky fall down. Let the leaves turn brown. Still you know you can never make me love you more.”
