Video: Take Care & HYFR by Drake
Drake gives two for the price of one on a Saturday morning, dropping clips for “Take Care” and “HYFR” in succession. For the first, Drake linked up with his once-rumored paramore Rihanna for a second go-round of scintillating pop. But unlike the last collaboration, “What’s My Name?," which begs you to slowly drop it the floor, the Jamie XX-produced “Take Care” calls for more intimate gyrating. Appropriately, Drake and Rihanna spend a lot of the clip embracing each other—similar to Ciara and 50 Cent’s “Can’t Leave Em Alone” video but with a lot more clothing. There is other loveliness to behold, like the slo-mos of random wildlife dispersed throughout the video. But its beauty is no surprise, as sampling from Jamie XX and Gil Scott-Heron’s collaborative remix album inspired wonder in all of us in the first place.
To add more to his creative cache, the visual treatment for the Lil Wayne-featuring “HYFR” smashes our traditional notion of Rap Party Video, as Drake invites us to celebrate his bar mitzvah. (via The Fader)
News: Take Care & HYFR Visuals
Seems like Good Friday just got a little better. Early this morning Drake announced he would be releasing not one but two videos Friday. Fans of Drake have been eager to see his "Take Care" video featuring Rihanna, while his "HYFR" video features Lil Wayne.
What will have a bigger impact on the internet Drake's double dose of visuals or G.O.O.D. Music's "Mercy" single? We'll have to let the fans decide. (via The Source)
Fly By Night (R3K Remix) by Lil' Wayne & Imogen Heap
R3K seems to have a serious knack for remixing strong female vocalitst with male rappers. First was the Florence/Kid Cudi marriage, and I just stumbled upon this other track featuring Lil’ Wayne and Imogen Heap. Sampling vocals from Lil’ Wayne’s “Swag Surfin” and transferring them on top of Heap’s “Just For Now,” the output is brimming with synthesized perfection. Lil’ Wayne’s gravelly rapping almost becomes white noise, leaving the focus on Imogen’s lusciously symphonic floating vocals. (via Indie Shuffle)
Personally I like the background sample more than actual Wayne track but it doesn't matter. It reminds me so much of Clams Casino's version but chopped differently. Both together sounds dope anyway. A song with great flow but with an even better beat in totality. Easily one of the best remixes/mash-ups up for grabs.

If you didn't know, the cut, which features Lil' Wayne and Tyga is off

The Real Her (feat. Lil' Wayne) by Drake

The album has been confirmed and the release date is set and final. Drake's Take Care hitting the shelves on November 15th including this track that literally leaked just a few hours ago, "The Real Her."
Drizzy back-tracks to his style of R&B, slowing things down similar to a flow he called "Houstatlantavegas." Perfect for a relaxing evening off work or for other situations if you know what I'm mean... While Lil' Wayne sticks to what he is good at, complementing Drizzy all the way.
