Sweater Weather by The Neighboorhood

Post-Lana Del Rey indie pop group from Los Angeles, The Neighbourhood are on the precipice of becoming the next Foster The People, making their deliriously catchy “Sweater Weather” this year’s “Pumped Up Kicks.” It’s an oddly titled, but undeniable big-by-summer jam. (via PMA)

Why Don't You by Synkro

Marking the April relaunch of R&S sub-label Apollo Records, an imprint famed for releasing the likes of Aphex Twin, DJ Krush and Cabaret Voltaire, is Synkro’s Broken Promise EP. In his characteristically profound style, the four-track EP comprises atmospheric soundscapes populated with sparse percussion, elysian synths and deep bass. It’s the best thing I’ve heard from Synkro since last year’s ‘Look at Yourself’, which is big praise because the few releases between now and then have been pretty fucking good too. From the graceful persistence of the title-track to the dying embers of ‘Knowledge’, this is a beautiful way to rekindle the Apollo story. (via Boxmusique)

Waves (RAC Mix) by letthemusicplay

There’s something about an artist’s decision to adopt anonymity that rouses curiosity and compels you to listen to their music. Behind a logo made of two circles and a triangle in the shape of a face is the enigmatic group/duo/girl/girl, letthemusicplay. No one really knows anything about these guys except that they’ve enjoyed support from producers like Jacques Renault and The 2 Bears. Most recently, our dudes Andre, Karl and Andrew of RAC (Remix Artist Collective) have remixed their second single “Waves,” which we’re happy to premiere today on Discobelle.

The RAC remix adds more layers of spacey synths, creating the soundtrack to a futuristic underwater submarine expedition. If you like what you hear, head on over to LTMP’s Soundcloud for free downloads of both their singles and remixes. (via Discobelle)

R3hab keeps the remixes coming and coming, it’s like nonstop with this guy. This one is an instrumental remix to LMFAO’s Champagne Showers and was dropped as a free download for a massive 120,000 likes on Facebook. Using his distinct sound, R3hab sensationally twists the original melody into a flawless piece of music. If music could be seen like artwork, this would be a masterpiece. (via Nightshift)

Preview: Metropolis by David Guetta & Nicky Romero

David Guetta and Nicky Romero have seen recent success with their collaboration on “Wild One Two,” which has been topping Beatport charts since its release. They team up again to give us “Metropolis,” but this time Nicky’s presence is much more noticeable. The preview starts off dark with heavy synths and a gritty melody before dropping into a breakdown that is eerily similar to Michael Calfan’s “Resurrection.” (via Dancing Astronaut)

Idea of Happiness by Van She

Modular broke the news about an hour ago: everyone’s favorite Aussie 4-piece are back in action with a new single sharing the upcoming album’s title, “Idea of Happiness.” Van She‘s new single is a welcome reminder of their excellent 2008 work surrounding the band’s debut album, V.

In “Idea of Happiness,” a collection of beachy ricochet guitar strums, Nicholas Routledge’s calm vocals, some warm synth-work and a dancey beat make up the group’s stellar return to form.(via NASHVILLE NIGHTS)

Shuffle A Dream (Alison Wonderland Remix) by Little Dragon

Check out Alison Wonderland’s hot remix of “Shuffle A Dream” by Little Dragon. Rhythmically not straying too far from the original, now with a new depth and roundness to the bass portion, while sporting a subtle synth riff that has been pulled straight out the 1980's, complimented by that gated/short decay snare, a la Phil Collins. Tune. (via Party By Jake)

Video: Control (feat. Gary Go) by Benny Benassi

He’s a living legend who many consider one of the fathers and original pioneers of electro-house music. Benny Benassi may be climbing through his mid 40s, but he’s still churning out respectable tracks. With the help of Gary Go, it appears we have a sequel to the famed track “Cinema” that hit the charts last year, right about this time. Well “Control” is no different; very vocal driven. Check out its official visuals below. (via Chubby Beavers)

Piss Test (feat. Juicy J & Danny Brown) by A-Trak

A-Trak is a world champion DJ, in demand producer, and globetrotting club rocker without peer. Three 6 Mafia's Juicy J is true Southern rap royalty on a hot streak of new music. And Danny Brown is rap's rookie of the year, a critically acclaimed mic wrecker and budding style icon. Together, these three party professionals have come up with "Piss Test," a speaker-detonating slice of gleefully antisocial Parental Advisory rap that serves as the first teaser off Loosies, the upcoming Fool's Gold hip-hop compilation. Play this at high volume, preferably in a residential neighborhood.

Lighterman by The Partysquad

Just recently, after seeing the massive impact of "Original Don," a collaboration with Major Lazer, and the introduction of this crazy mixture of reggae and other musical styles, it became obvious that the world was ready for more.

For a special project, The Partysquad took "Original Don's" style even further and created 6 giant monsters that are all capable of destroying dancefloors worldwide... If this style already labelled "Badman Rave" could be defined, the closest way to describe it would be "All reggae mixed up with crazy electro, gabber, hardstyle, dutch, tropical and what have you.."

Clams’ latest gift comes in form of the instrumental to his Big K.R.I.T. remix, something “for the warm weather” as the tweet that went along with it explains. News: A$AP Rocky and Crew Throwdown With Their Audience

It was around 3:30 AM in Austin when A$AP Rocky and his mob were on stage and stopped the performance to ask for a green bandana back, which was lost during a crowd surf. With both the crowd and the A$AP Mob unhappy with how things were playing out, the situation got tense. Rocky tried to reason with the audience. He warned the crowd not to throw “anything on stage that’s not water,” but more objects got hurled. That’s when shit got real, and when A$AP jumped into the crowd, his crew didn’t hesitate to follow. Watch it go down in the footage below. (via Pigeons & Planes)
