Everything In Its Right Place (Tensnake Remix) by Radiohead
Radiohead fanatics, don’t fret. Tensnake’s edit is respectful to the original, highlighting Thom York’s wailing vocals with a beating pendulum bass line; it is more than recognizable, diffusing out the quirkier, intense aspects of the song to create a smoother, deep house feel to the track. Perfect in its highs and lows, Tensnake has successfully made a great song viable for the modern dance floor. (via Indie Shuffle)
Album: Reworks #1 by Christian Strobe
In the holiday spirit, Christian Strobe has released a generous gift. All of his 2011 remixes in a free download package entitled Reworks #1. I'm not the biggest follower of the "remix" scene, but I'm always excited to see Christian Strobe give his unique touch to any track. These aren't blown-out electro-house remixes -- they're danceable infusions of nu-disco, tranced-out, dreamy sounds that always complement the track they're modifying perfectly (via EARMILK).

Congolal by Tensnake
Say what you like about Marco 'Tensnake' Niemerski, but the boy certainly knows how to craft hook-laden dancefloor bangers. Since striking gold with the ubiquitous "Coma Cat", the German producer has laid down all manner of hands-in-the-air remixes - most boasting a delightful blend of old skool house flava and electronic disco sassiness. "Something About You" continues this theme, mixing 80s Fairlight stabs, sparkling piano riffs and hooky vocal samples with a chunky retro-house groove to impressive effect. Simian Mobile Disco man Jas Shaw offers a similarly acid house/Inner City-themed remake, whilst bonus cut "Congolal" slows the pace in a Balearic house style. Big! (via elkoo)
Hurting (Tensnake Remix) by Friendly Fires
German producer Tensnake has done it again with a brilliant remix of "Hurting" by Friendly Fires from their album Pala. I was first introduced to his work about a year ago with an original of his called "Coma Cat" and from their on, it was consistent and smooth sailing with his music. I advise everyone to hear this track out especially with the gloomy weather we're having today. Something to bump up the mood. I'm definitely making it my jam for today. Why not make it yours too?
