Iggy Azalea is something like I’ve never seen. A white girl from Australia who raps about hanging on Slauson and has people who hang around Crenshaw and Slauson actually digging her shit. She’s been linked to YG and has been seen hanging with T.I. in Atlanta. But to be honest the most shocking thing about Iggy is definitely the fact that she’s white and can spit with such ferocity. I haven’t even heard many black guys in recent years who can top her. She’s new on the US scene and her latest EP Ignorant Art isn’t super polished but I really like what I’ve heard so far. Lighterman by The Partysquad
Just recently, after seeing the massive impact of "Original Don," a collaboration with Major Lazer, and the introduction of this crazy
mixture of reggae and other musical styles, it became obvious that the
world was ready for more.
For a special project, The Partysquad took "Original Don's" style even
further and created 6 giant monsters that are all capable of destroying
dancefloors worldwide... If this style already labelled "Badman Rave" could be defined, the
closest way to describe it would be "All reggae mixed up with crazy
electro, gabber, hardstyle, dutch, tropical and what have you.."
Original Don (Flosstradamus Remix) by Major Lazer
Chicago-based duo Flosstradamus add a trap music, bass-heavy variation on Major Lazer’s “Original Don”, contributing to the growing repertoire of worthy remixes for the club banger. Major Lazer posted the track up this morning, and it’s available to download for free when you like Flosstradamus’ Facebook page. (via Hypetrak)
Video: Original Don (feat. Partysquad) by Major Lazer
They have done it again! Major Lazer with new visuals on their recent, "Original Don" featuring Partysquad. Part of the most consistent DJ/producer duos in the business, hit after hit comes success and this doesn't fall short on expectations.
The video sees a pair of crazy samurai swinging dancers from the Napoleon Dynamite era in synchronization
which looks dangerous as all hell! A cute little old lady and a cameo
from a house wife, sandwich making Diplo. Switch is nowhere to be found though, unless he's the old lady? (via SKOA) Akward and awesome at the same time but entertaining the most. Reminding us that a family that practices deadly weapons together, stay good together. Happy weekend to all!
