Get Free (What So Not Remix) by Major Lazer
New remix alert by the duo made up of club-guy, Emoh Instead and future bass-guy, Flume of What So Not. The new whomping single "Get Free" by Major Lazer featuring Amber Coffman on vocals gets a rub like none expected. Smooth all they way until that break where heavy wobbly electronic basslines enter the scene like barging through a group of ravaging zombies like your life depended on it. A real mid-set turner!
Get Free (feat. Amber Coffman) by Major Lazer
Let’s start this week fresh with also fresh new material from Major Lazer as Diplo and Switch’s don dadda unleashed som new material together with Amber Coffman of Dirty Projectors. The track is called "Get Free" and just as the title suggest it comes as a free download together with a remix by none other than Bonde do Role.
Lighterman by The Partysquad
Just recently, after seeing the massive impact of "Original Don," a collaboration with Major Lazer, and the introduction of this crazy
mixture of reggae and other musical styles, it became obvious that the
world was ready for more.
For a special project, The Partysquad took "Original Don's" style even
further and created 6 giant monsters that are all capable of destroying
dancefloors worldwide... If this style already labelled "Badman Rave" could be defined, the
closest way to describe it would be "All reggae mixed up with crazy
electro, gabber, hardstyle, dutch, tropical and what have you.."
Original Don (Flosstradamus Remix) by Major Lazer
Chicago-based duo Flosstradamus add a trap music, bass-heavy variation on Major Lazer’s “Original Don”, contributing to the growing repertoire of worthy remixes for the club banger. Major Lazer posted the track up this morning, and it’s available to download for free when you like Flosstradamus’ Facebook page. (via Hypetrak)
Video: Original Don (feat. Partysquad) by Major Lazer
They have done it again! Major Lazer with new visuals on their recent, "Original Don" featuring Partysquad. Part of the most consistent DJ/producer duos in the business, hit after hit comes success and this doesn't fall short on expectations.
The video sees a pair of crazy samurai swinging dancers from the Napoleon Dynamite era in synchronization
which looks dangerous as all hell! A cute little old lady and a cameo
from a house wife, sandwich making Diplo. Switch is nowhere to be found though, unless he's the old lady? (via SKOA) Akward and awesome at the same time but entertaining the most. Reminding us that a family that practices deadly weapons together, stay good together. Happy weekend to all!
Original Don (feat. The Partysquad) by Major Lazer
Diplo and Switch, or should I say Major Lazer, have been under the radar for months since the their last project with BeyoncĂ© with "Run The World (Girls)." Major Lazer's "Pon De Floor" was the sample used for the base of the track and it is taken from their debut album, Guns Don’t Kill People… Lazers Do.
The boys have been hard at work with a new project. A few demos after, the track surfaces and is in full form. Their new track called "Original Don" is certified quality. Dancehall-inspired music at its finest with steady set loops and a gradual build-up of bass. Not the usual type of dance music given it's from Major Lazer but still highly recommended.
Digital download available on November 1 and will be a part of a full EP with remixes from The Partysquad and Crookers. Word on the street is that if you like their Facebook page, you get a big chance of scoring a copy of the EP. Interesting... Hello, Monday!
