I don’t think I’ve posted a mash-up in a while, and I think HÔHME’s newest release of “Eagle Eyes” is a good point to come back. Mashing both trance and progressive house samples, HÔHME is able to create a dreamy mash-up. The mix draws the line of goose bump and fist pump territory. Perfect track for a Friday night like tonight. It definitely gets banging from the 2 minute mark. So, louder, please?

There aren’t too many artists out there who mash-up their own tracks. But, Kaskade is an exception. This isn’t the first time, and I doubt it’ll be the last. In his cross-hairs this time is Sandro Silva & Quintino’s “Epic,” which has been smooshed together with Kaskade’s own “Call Out” off his album Dynasty. The result? Hit play.(via Indie Shuffle)

Here's something different. Not considered a mash-up but The Cataracs sampling Kaskade and bringing on board Waka Flocka Flame for their new tune “All You." It’s a stunning sample usage of the 2006 Kaskade track “All You” and it’s hype factor is pretty high considering Kaskade and electronic music is tearing up mainstream radio at the moment but I’m not sure this has what it takes to stand out in the crowd. Kaskade typically releases mashups almost every week during Mondays and most of the time offered for free. Also known as Kaskade Music Mondays or KMM, this one by R3hab and Swanky Tunes is a must have for all you Kaskade collectors out there! Unfortunately, this one is not for free and it can only be purchased in Beatport but I think it's worth the coin if you a true follower.

Kaskade lately has been releasing a barrage of mash-ups in his Soundcloud account. He resumes with this one which I'm pretty sure he played in his recent visit here in the Metro. It features one of the more well-known Dutch players out there and also a "kababayan," Laidback Luke with his latest track "Natural Disaster." However, this to me didn't really stand out compared to the rest. Not his best production, I'd say. What do you think?

"Peace On Earth" was reportedly an original from 2003 that made it on to a few different compilations including hOMe for the Holidays by OM Records. Kaskade never liked the original mastering so he decided that it needed a do-over.

With a very cheesy title and predictable Christmas lines, it still competes as a standard electronic house track. It's refreshing and a blissed-out blast from the past back when he wasn’t playing packed dance floors and stadiums. A good post to tribute an awesome set I witnessed from him last night. Remixes are interesting thoughts but I don't think it's anymore necessary.

After a remix by Le Castle Vania on a Kaskade song, here we have another from Mistermike. A different take on the original "Eyes" being more on the dubbed-out side. This remix promises not to trump the original but equal it's quality even though from a different genre. Totally playing with the elements but sticking to the core. Check it!

A banger for a banger, Kaskade testing out the electro kinks with his version of Zedd's current hit, "Shave It." It is currently a part of the remix EP called The Aftershave out for grabs and Kaskade's was the best in my opinion. Zedd is a rising star under Skrillex's label, OWSLA, who has a long career ahead of him if he continues to put out stuff like "Shave It." Hold on tight, this one is a shaker.

Always hard at work, Dylan Eiland, or more popularly known as Le Castle Vania, just dropped his own spin on Kaskade's very popular single, "Turn It Down." Set to be released under Ultra Records, this track surely a chart climber. This young producer just transformed an already amazing production to something much more interesting.  Retro arcade style synths with awesome twists. Be careful with that 1:31 drop, it's a doozy.

Today I came across an artist who does sick mash-ups "for raging" unlike the ordinary. Mash-ups that are themed especially for the clubs and all are with relation to productions from Kaskade. Remember this name... Kap Slap, LeHigh University-based producer who always finds time to make sweet music during his much needed breaks from class. More from him after the skip. 

"Kap Slap comes to us from Lehigh University where between classes he finds times to make some of the best mashups we’ve heard in a while. The name “Kap Slap” comes from his familys line of a shot known as a “kap slap” where you funnel a beer and pour a shot of 151 in at the end (giving you a “slap” in the face). Sounds like his family is made up of a bunch of frat stars." (via FreshNewTracks)

I have for you three very complex tracks part of his new EP called Found Love. It includes artists like Nero, Skrillex, Deadmau5 and SebastiAn to artists like Britney Spears, Fergie, Lil' Jon and Rihanna, blended superbly with perfection. Tomorrow is the date of release of Kaskade's fourth album, Fire & Ice, exclusively via iTunes. What better way to kick-off a launch than with an unexpected leak of two tracks part of the about to be released album.

First track is a collaboration with Dada Life called "Ice." One of the main tracks of his album, obviously a part of the album tag. Not a fan of this one although it is still a monster of a team-up.

Wasn't really sure what to expect with the Skrillex and Kaskade collaboration till this one came along. The track is pretty intense and high in energy, perfect for big room situations. Exactly what you would get from a Skrillex co-production. Both styles complementing each other, an equal and unique combination of smooth house and filthy electro. This one gets my vote!

Here is Kaskade with a preview of his upcoming 2-CD album release, Fire & Ice. Fire and ice meaning his dual styles of production. Fire for his progressive and electric style and of course ice for his more ambient and laid back side. All together, the album is described as a "euphoric, melodic, vocal and house-pop."
