Friends (Plastic Plates Remix) by Sneaky Sound System
Remixes of Sneaky Sound System just keep on coming out of Modular Records! This time Felix Bloxsom from Plastic Plates has decided to take a crack at one of the Australian band’s tracks titled “Friends.” As per usual, Plastic Plates has managed to take a relatively funky original and make it funkier! By incorporating his own assortment of incredibly groovy basslines, dancefloor percussion, and disco laden melodies, Plastic Plates turns “Friends” into an even greater dance groove! Seriously, if you don’t like this song, I’m afraid we can’t be friends! (via Golden Scissors)
Jamaica (Plastic Plates Remix) by Van She
Plastic Plates re-jigs the second single from Van She's new album Idea of Happiness, out July 6. This track is a little teaser of what is to come when the full "Jamaica" remix bundle comes out late July.
The One That Got Away (Plastic Plates Remix) by Katy Perry
Probably the best remix and best crossover of a Katy Perry song ever made. We got Plastic Plates in the mix with their version and official rework of Katy's latest single "The One That Got Away." Always with an ample supply of good disco and funk beats, Plastic Plates successful in "making the bubble-gum pop queen sound even catchier." The end result is pretty awesome so make sure you add this to your playlist.
I Don't Know What To Do
"I Don't Know What To Do" is a track by The Magician featuring amazing vocals from the talented, Jeppe. My music preference lately has been backtracking to to the old so the 80's groovy disco theme of the track was a definite plus. But still a bit too slow and dragging for my taste.
The Magician Feat. Jeppe "I Don't Know What To Do" (Original) by TheMagician
Although, upon more research on the track, I came across the remixed version by Plastic Plates. Now this is my jam! A more upbeat approach with a very indie and nu disco drop. Fantastic synths, even more funky riffs, and awesome breaks. And that phone ringing sample? Genius! Stream and download after the jump.
