Pretty Lights Music's electronic genre-bender Paper Diamond takes hipster R&B guru The Weeknd's "Same Old Song" and morphs it into a dreamy but still party-friendly dance track. When you put Abel Tesfaye's silky smooth vocals on any track it's pure gold, but Paper Diamond speeds it up and adds some talking bass. The percussion is perfectly cut and arranged and the modest drop into the chorus blends easy. (via EARMILK)

The critically acclaimed alter-ego of Abel Tesfaye, The Weeknd has released the EP, Echoes Of Silence as a free download on The Weeknd’s website.  It is the third and reportedly the final installment to the mixtape series they have to offer.

Nine tracks make up the Toronto R&B band’s follow-up to House Of Balloons and it features their version and cover of Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana.” A Merry Christmas from The Weeknd.
