The West Coast-residing beatsmith just has a knack for flipping samples into the type of stuff made for bobbing your head and turning the lights low with your significant other. "Keep On Lovin," is that typical awesome Joachim beat, featuring the smooth vocals of singer/song writer Carlitta Durand, is the first single off upcoming album Fiberglass Kisses. The single will be available for purchase next week, May 7th, backed by b-side remix produced by Eric Lau. Mark those calendars!

Freddie Joachim's ever growing body of work contains both some original songs and a diverse plethora of remixes and reworkings of music from the likes of Vikter Duplaix, Toro Y Moi, Esthero and now Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter/musician Corinne Bailey Rae. For his latest remix Joachim selected Rae's "I Would Like To Call It Beauty" off her 2010 album The Sea. Joachim transforms the original folksy number into a lively record accented by the addition of more upbeat drums. Longtime collaborators Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes teamed up for one of the iller slept-on singles of the 2000s in “For The Nasty," a track that, for whatever reason, never made its way onto an album. Instead, it lived as a single released by Motown in 2005. That didn’t stop producer Freddie Joachim from diggin’ up the somewhat-hype track and turning it into a jazzy, laid-back burner.
